let me start by saying: ezeefit ankle booties rock! i mentioned yesterday that the inside of both heels had good sized blisters. i drained them this morning, but i was feeling quite a burning as i finished my skate today and was really expecting a bloody mess. instead, other redness in the previously blistered area, i had no new chaffing at all. god bless the ezeefit folks! (they are not paying me to say that, but if they decided to send me a new pair, that would be ok!)
at the end of 12 miles i still had lots of leg left, even with the 15 mph wind alternately behind me and in my face. since i thought my feet would be too torn up for skating tomorrow, i decided to go the next 4 mile lap. still my legs were far from dead, and that’s actually my plan mileage – 3 skates a week at around 16 or 18 miles to equal at least 50 miles a week. but i wasn’t expecting it the 2nd time out on the new skates.
about the new bonts, they continue to feel good. as i mentioned yesterday, i’ll be happy when it’s time for new wheels, but the hyper stripes will do for now. after the initial damage to my feet heals up (what was i thinking breaking in new skates without ezeefit’s?) i’ll probably try heat molding them again. i wonder if you can dye patent leather, btw? experience, anyone?
the numbers:
16 miles today
20 miles this week,
on the bont jets,
on the bont bearings,
on the hyper stripes wheels
i’m 181.6 lbs
